Race, culture, religion, geographic location, upbringing, intelligence, physical appearance and anything else we could possibly see as reasons to be different are mostly labels and categories that are used to divide us.
As human beings, we are all connected. During our life, most of us will:
Fall in a public place.
Understand disappointment.
Discover what a shart is.
Experience at least one major loss.
Discover a heart can experience physical pain.
Accidentally pee ourselves.
Suffer depression and anxiety.
Contemplate suicide.
Betray someone’s trust.
Be betrayed.
Experience a moment of extreme happiness.
Arrive late for work.
Lose someone close to our heart – pet or human.
Feel humiliated.
Be humbled.
Love at least one cute animal video.
Cry or tear-up over a song.
Spill a drink at a most inopportune moment.
Smile at least once while reading this impressive list.
Will have visualized a memory from one or more of the above.
The list can go on and on. We are all connected in more ways than we are different. The human experience binds us all whether you wish to accept or ignore it. Pretending doesn’t change reality.
My blog. My experiences unfiltered. My hope is to bridge that divide, even if by only one person.
Am I supposed to laugh at some..because I did 😀. You inject humor and I so appreciate that. Or maybe I’m just a laughing gas ðŸ¤

After I wrote the first version, I felt it needed a little humor tossed in to lighten the overall read. 🙂
