If I won the lottery, I’d immediately go into hiding. Next, I’d change my name, followed by my appearance. Plastic surgery, implants, etc… I’d build an off-grid home on land purchased through a shell company.
Once I was secure in my new position, I’d funnel money to my family to ensure their bills were taken care of and they had anything they needed.
After the dust had settled, I would create an animal sanctuary where animals of all kinds could be set free within a “walled garden” habitat. It would not be open to the public. Once the sanctuary was set, I’d likely open different types of animal cafés in the towns close by. People could visit the establishments, hang out with the critters, and even apply to adopt one. The adoption process would be thorough to ensure a good home would be provided.
The bulk of the winnings would be invested in order for the compound/haven to be self-sustaining for as long as possible.
Once I passed on, I would leave the remaining financial balance to a group of people I had worked with extensively and who also embraced our way of life. That group would be equal partners and required to agree on all decisions. No outside partnerships would be permitted to avoid influence and lessen the potential for greed and outside manipulation. The organization would remain private so it would be immune to hostile takeovers. Donations would be accepted with legal documents signed that stated there would be no quid pro quo.
That’s really it. There’s nothing special or exotic about my choices -I’ve learned those types of dreams are nothing but trouble. Keep it simple. Stay off the radar.
