No idea where I get it from, but I love dark humor -not morbidly dark, but pretty close to the line.
Videos where people do stupid things and get hurt? Unexpected violence? Yep. I laugh. Sometimes for extended periods.
Punchlines that come out of nowhere and are dark AF? Hilarious. Right now Anthony Jeselnik is my go-to for this type of comedy. I can rarely guess where he’s going with the punchline, but I know it’s going to be either dark or hugely inappropriate to conventional crowds.
Jokes founded in stereotypes or racial undertones? I’m not afraid to laugh even when the joke is about something personal to me -age, race, body type, past mistakes.
It takes more of a conscious effort to be offended by humor than to just laugh and move on -or even simply move on and know that person/comedian/etc isn’t your thing.
Until you can discover a way to generate more gravitational pull than our sun, this planet will continue to not revolve around you.
