What were your parents doing at your age?

My mother and stepfather were doing drugs and avoiding accountability for ruining the lives of three boys. My father was doing the best he could.

Rather than continuing to pretend everything is ok and hiding the things I'm working through, I've decided to share the journey I am about to embark on -not for attention or sympathy, but for anyone out there who might be struggling with their own demons and hesitant to share them for fear of how they would be perceived.
