For the older crowd – Boomer, Gen X, and 80’s born Millennials who suffered trauma after 40:
Based on what you either have gone through, or currently dealing with – If you could go back in time and not change anything except the point in time in which the trauma occurred, would you choose to experience it at a younger age, or when it actually took place?
For the younger crowd – Same question, but reversed. Would you put off the trauma till you were much older or would you stick with when it actually happened?
Remember: You couldn’t give yourself advice, guidance, or change anything other than the event itself.
Before you commit to an answer, allow me to explain how I see it.
With youth comes resilience in body and mind. Youth is on your side in almost all aspects… But you lack in life tools that only comes with age and experience.
With age comes wisdom and the life tools you only acquire over time and experience in order to deal with the trauma.
So -Youth and resilience… Or age and wisdom?
