Well… If I questioned whether or not this was my life, I now have the confirmation I needed.
I posted a picture of my plane ticket earlier and talked about being on my way. Not 30 seconds after I made that post, a voice comes over the PA and lets everyone know the plane was tagged yesterday for maintenance… and guess what… It wasn’t performed.
I chose a direct flight to Chicago to avoid delays associated with connecting flights and limit the chance of the one bag I have to check getting lost.
We are now on a 3 hour delay. Good thing I picked the faster route.
